How to Prepare Your Property for an End of Tenancy Clean

A little preparation before an end of tenancy clean helps everything run smoothly, and means our team can focus entirely on getting the property properly clean rather than working around clutter or loose ends.

The most useful thing you can do beforehand is remove your belongings. An empty property means every surface, cupboard and corner can be reached and cleaned properly — nothing gets missed because it was hidden behind boxes or furniture. If anything is being left behind intentionally, just let us know in advance.

It’s also worth checking that utilities are still connected, particularly electricity and water, so the clean can go ahead as planned. If there are any areas that need particular attention — a kitchen that’s seen heavy use, marks on carpets, limescale in the bathroom — flagging these beforehand helps us plan the visit properly.

Access is the last piece: let us know how we’ll get in, whether that’s a key, a code, or meeting someone on site, especially if the property will be empty on the day.
